Day Session or Let’s go for it?

Winter can be hard, very hard not just that’s its cold damp and the carp are reluctant to feed, buts it can be mind sappingly dull. But there are ways of making it a happy time.

Firstly, are you a day only winter angler or a let’s go for it 48hour session angler? Either can be good, lets way up both. Day session trips during the winter can be very prolific if you get it right. Location is the biggest point to start on as arriving for a day trip you get there early looking for carp even before the bivvy lads have woken up from there hibernation. This alone will give you a slight edge. However, being stuck in a bivvy can also be as productive. Baiting spots regularly through the winter has its plus side sitting on pre baited areas will always work and from time to time the carp are active during darkness giving away their location and they’ll feed too. Only the guys fishing the nights will know. So how to you choose which way to go?

It’s a bait thing! If you are happy sitting on baited spots then you really do need to be fishing the nights as well as you’ll never know when the carp will turn up. But if you’re a single slinger then days could be right up your street.

Whether you’re a bait ‘n wait or single slinger angler these hookbaits will certainly help you catch fish in winter

By the time you’re reading this some of you would have already started baiting a few swims to keep the carp feeding through the colder months good on you, some however would have sorted out or made a few winter special hookbaits for day trips, nice. Whatever you do two things stand out above all. Location and bait! Get your location right and use a good quality bait you won’t go far wrong!

Merry Christmas, Shoes.
