About Billy Flowers
I started fishing when I was 11 years old and a couple of years later met my fishing partner, Jamie Londors, at Crow Green Fishery where we used to fish together regularly. From then on, we have fished plenty of different waters across the country and all over the world. When I was 17, we entered our first fishing match, which was a 72-hour event held on the St Lawrence River in America, after winning this we came home and decided to start entering carp matches in England. We have been very successful over the years managing to win the Essex Carp Championships, Midlands Masters, Southern Carp Cup, International Carp Challenge, International Boilie Cup and the Battle of Britain. We have won numerous eliminators and semi-final rounds in the BCAC, with third place being our best result in this event. We have also been part of the Mainline Team Event for the BCAC for last four years, winning in 2016, 2018 and 2019.As well as match fishing, Jamie and I have been fortunate enough to fish for Carp Team England and are the most capped fishing pair, with fourteen caps. We have represented England in the World Championships for the past twelve years along with two other matches in England. Along the way we have managed to win three gold, three silver and two bronze medals. It’s not only carp matches that I enjoy, I love to do my own fishing and over the years have caught plenty of carp from numerous day ticket and syndicate waters. I also try to get at least two trips abroad in a year and have fished some stunning lakes across Europe, catching plenty of carp all falling for Mainline Baits – although the trips abroad may have to be put on hold for a while as I’m going to become a Dad very soon!
