Peter North Myself and my son arrived at the lake with 48hrs ahead hopeful of a bite each as being a low stocked venue bites can prove to be a little tricky at times Setting up in the pouring rain the first day passed by uneventful but with a few fish showing in the area in evening it was a positive sign The next morning just as I'd taken my first sip of coffee my left hand rod burst into life and after a short battle a fish known as snubnose slipped over the net cord weighing in at 40lb 4oz Shortly after that it was my son Oscar's turn to get in on the action with a stunning common which weighed in at 32lb 10oz a few hours passed and going into the afternoon he was away again this time a solid mirror slipped into the net at 29lb 2oz Three fish on the second day and we were buzzing going into the night , All then went quite untill the next morning and around the same time as the previous day the my left hand rod was away this time another clean mirror slipped into the net and weighed in at 28lb 8oz Two fish each and with not long left we thought we'd had our share but in the last hour while packing up my left hand rod was away again After a hard fight a beautiful angry common was in the net and a PB common too weighing in at 33lb 10oz Certainly a session we won't forget for a while 😁
