Over to Tone: "I caught this stunning common on the very first night of my winter syndicate, a low stocked weedy water which is challenging to say the least. As far as I know this is only the third time this fish has been caught, after previously being caught once in 2007 and again in 2010. Its the lakes target fish and well worth the 400 plus mile round trip from Cornwall! The big dark common weighed in just shy of 35lbs and took a liking to a kilo of Cell and New Grange chopped boilies, with a Cell/Pineapple snowman hookbait fished over the top. I caught two other carp that session, all fish that couldn't resist my Mainline baits!"
