Paul Palmer Slipped over one of my Essex Syndicate's for a quick night this weekend and was pleased to see it practically empty. I opted for a swim i've been fishing a bit and consistantly putting bait in. The wind was gently pushing into the bay next to me and I felt good. About an hour after setting up a rod ripped off and I landed a 31lb common. At dusk another rod went and i landed a 23 mirror, but had camera or intervalometer issues in the low light.. so had to slip it back without pics. I messed about with my camera for a while in case another opportunity arose. I was up early ready to head off to work when a rod took off again. It gave a good battle, and I could see it was a lovely scaley fish whilst fighting in the margins.. similar to one I lost at the net the previous month. This absolute scaley beauty didn't get away however, and is one of my favorite looking carp i've caught from the venue so far. I'll add that I have had absolute confidence in this new Mainline bait since the moment i started using it. Happy day !
