We recently received news from Mainline consultant, Lewis Porter, of a fantastic catch of carp from an Essex syndicate lake. Over 3nts fishing, Lewis found the lakes inhabitants to take a very keen liking to his Cell boilies, feeding over 15kilos of bait to maintain the consistent action he enjoyed. Using Horizon 2.75lb Full Cork handled rods coupled with 12,000FS Stratos reels and Warrior XT line, Lewis brought a total of 6 carp to the net. Fish weighing in at 28lb and 29lb 6oz, topped by an impressive quartet of thirties, 30lb, 33lbs 14oz, 38lb and 39lb 8ozs! Rig wise Lewis used 25lb Silty black Coretex, Size 6 XSC hooks and Line Aligna Adaptor to perfectly present his balanced hookbaits made from a Cell bottom bait tipped with half a Cell pop-up.
