You’ll need two hookbaits for this rig starting with a pop-up.
Followed by a bottom bait to counterbalance the pop-up.
Start by cutting away around 30cm of soft coated braid.
Strip away about 10cm of the coating to expose the soft braid.
Tie a simple Hair Loop in the soft braid section like this next.
Now using a baiting needle thread the hookbaits onto the Hair.
Secure the two hookbaits in place using a Hair stop like so.
You’ll need to take a micro rig ring like this for the next step.
Attach the rig ring with a simple single Overhand Knot like this.
Thread a size 6 Long Shank hook through the ring positioned opposite the barb.
You can now secure the hook in place with a Knotless-Knot.
Now take some shrink tube or a medium Kicker like this.
Slide the Kicker down the hooklink and over the hook eye.
You’ll need a Dark Matter Sinker (medium) for the next step.
Slide the Sinker down the hooklink so it’s about 3cm off the hook.
Next, slide an Anti Tangle Sleeve onto the hooklink like so.
Tie a Figure-Of-Eight-Loop-Knot at the end of the hooklink.
Slide the Anti Tangle Sleeve back over the knot like this.
The Long Shank Snowman Rig is complete and ready to go!
The hook should sit flat with the hookbaits balanced above.
It will turn quickly to a good hooking angle for strong hookholds.
