About Oscar Brugger

I was born in 1993, and carp fishing has been the constant thread running through my life ever since I can remember. What started as pure fascination for the unknown beneath the surface has grown into a lifelong passion — and today, I feel incredibly lucky to call that passion my profession.

 

I have been part of the Korda family for over ten years and currently work as the Marketing Manager for Korda Italy. Representing a brand I truly believe in makes all the difference. My confidence in the products I use isn’t based on a job title — it’s built on countless nights on the bank. I’ve trusted Mainline Boilies for more than 15 years, and session after session they have proven their consistency and quality. When I put a rig out, I do it with complete confidence.

 

For me, carp fishing has never been about just numbers or personal bests. I don’t have one single favourite water — I have many waters in my heart. Each of them holds memories: incredible captures, painful blanks, hard lessons, and unforgettable successes. Those experiences shaped me, both as an angler and as a person. They are the places I always return to.

 

I consider myself an all-round angler. I love the versatility of carp fishing — big lakes, small intimate venues, rivers, canals. I enjoy long-range casting just as much as fishing from a boat. I adapt to the situation, because I believe the more tools you have in your box, the stronger you become as an angler.

 

Balancing work in the industry with my own fishing isn’t always easy, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. Alongside my wonderful family — who mean everything to me — carp fishing is my greatest passion. I’m grateful every day that I get to live what I love.

For me, it’s not just about catching carp. It’s about the journey, the learning process, the quiet mornings, the tough nights, and the constant drive to improve. That’s what keeps me coming back.
