About Ed Betteridge

I have been a carp angler for over 25 years, the early part of which was spent learning the trade in my local area which it's fair to say is devoid of big carp. Once I caught all that I wanted to locally, I starting travelling in search of bigger fish. My first venue on the road was Elstow 2 and I was lucky enough to catch the 'Mother' in my first season, so then I moved on to a large Cambs water that I loved, before joining Linch Hill in 2007. It took me just over three years to catch my target fish from the complex's biggest water, Stone Acre, although I caught most of the lakes stock in doing so, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time on there. I also had a dabble on the other two waters, Christchurch and Willow catching several 30's and a few 40's. Since Linch Hill I have fished Irchester, St Ives, Burghfield, as well as a couple of publicity shy waters. My current water is 180 miles away from my Derbyshire home and is situated on the south coast, but I'm hoping the rewards will out way the long drive.

Publicity

I have written for all of the UK carp fishing magazines as well as a few websites, including several articles on the Korda site. I also film and edit videos, including my own blogs, snippets for the Korda site and product information and general fishing tips with Greys and Chub. I have also appeared on Sky Sports, both whilst taking part in the BCAC and Coaching in the Korda Academy.
