Strong south westerly blowing into the island swim with fish showing around the island. They had done a work party clearing the weed in certain swims and this was one, there was a clear channel up to and along the side of the island. The strong wind was breaking off more rafts of weed that were floating over the lines but with the tips sunk down to the lake's bed it was passing over the top without picking up the lines.
