Rob Phipps After a massive downpour of rain Tuesday night and knowing the water levels would shoot up on the club lake an early alarm was set for the morning..on arrival the water was up over the peg that’s good for a bite in these conditions, within minutes I heard a couple bosh out to my left up the margin tree line. This was more than enough for me to go on and quickly slung on the waders and got the kit out..fishing was pretty tough at first with all sorts floating by and some undertow to deal with, that said I stuck to the plan of moving around a couple of singles and keeping one on an island type feature out in front, a regular scattering of Cell & ISO Fish was scattered over that rod with a catapult and it eventually tore off.! An epic battle, which even had me wading in to assist with a bush on my right it tried to get me into, after dealing with this it finally gave up and landed up in the net.! A tough morning but buzzing to get this one on the bank.!
