Scale icon 14lb 17oz Scale icon 1st July 2020 Location Manchester club lake Type Mirror Bait Fruity tuna
Arriving at the chosen venue the fish were showing all over the lake. I opted for a centre swim giving me command of a large area of water. With several features and the fish being very active but not wanting to get on the feed I had to work for my rewards. I tried zigs solid bags singles I introduced bait I even had the the odd fish taking off the top But no success. I decided to wind the rods and go and watch them for a while next door opposite the island. After a good hour it become clear what route this particular shoal were using so I went back to my swim clipped up to the island and deployed 3 spombs of corn and the new fruity tuna fishing essential ib pop Up over the top Within 20 mins I had a cracking little zip linear in my net. This capture unfortunately spooked the remains and that was that. Night was drawing in and I know these fish get in the middle during the hours off darkness so 3 rods tight on a spot in the middle of the lake and plenty of fruity tuna whole and chops over the top of my essential IB hook baits I sat back with a cup of tea and could hear them boshing over my spots I just knew I’d be woken at some point with the sound of my alarms. 4.30am I was out of my bed to a screaming one tonner from the middle rod. A nice dark common was in my net 10 mins later. Early departure finished my 24 hour session but to have 2 wicked fish on the new bait during a moody visit to my local club was a fantastic feeling and il certainly be continuing on this particular bait.
