Peter Kingsbury Arrived after dark on Thursday 4th Dec and walked round the lake 3 times until I found some fish showing, I quickly got all three rods in position and got the rest of the gear sorted and the time was around 2am, I made a cuppa and decided to get my head down. I woke up around 5am and carp were still evident, but today the weather was going to get a lot worse with strong south easterlies which would blow straight into my position, with this in mind I waited until midday with no action and wanted to redo the three rods, I put all three on Cell bottom baits with a PVA stick of the Cell stick mix and liquid, around 4 I had a fast take on my middle rod which resulted in this lovely long 48lb 8oz mirror, I unhooked the fish and left her in the net and quickly repositioned the rod on the spot and then did the pictures, self takes not that easy with the weather. At around 7pm the middle rod was away again whilst I was packing away and turned out to be a 35lb common, I put her back and continued to pack away, I was absolutely soaked, my bivvy blew away and a tree came down narrowly missing my power barrow, once in the car all loaded I couldn’t help but laugh out loud as what a night
