Wraysbury north lake

Turned up to the lake a few hrs before first light on the Friday of storm Austin. I knew where I wanted to from previous success during a storm last winter. And I knew that swim was free from a phone call to someone that was on the lake the night before. Got absolutely soaked getting my gear round and setting up. The rods went out perfect even tho it was heavy rain the lake was flat calm like it was the calm before the storm. I got into dry clothes and dozed off as it was still dark then the wind got up and and I woke up to the rod melting off for that in was a 37ib mirror got the rod back and about a hr later the other rod on the spot ripped off and was a 32ib mirror I done self takes of both the fish as I dint want to let people know I’d had a couple so quickly because the lake hadn’t done many bite over the past few days and I knew I’d get people moving in round me. Then late Saturday night /early hrs Sunday morning I had another take and after a good scrap and it wiping out my other rod I got it in the net and was a fish called red October a old redmire common that’s been in wraysbury back when Mary and mallins where about so its probably one the oldest fish in there now. I couldn’t do self takes with that fish so I gave Carl the bailif a call as he was fishing. He came round help me weigh and took the photos for me. I asked him if he could keep it on the low as I don’t want people moving in round me he said yeah no worries. Then I had a 24ib mirror Sunday mid morning. Got the rods back out Sunday evening and packed some my gear away as I was of to work at 7am Monday morning. And woke up 6:30 to another take and was another good fish a 47ib mirror right before work.
