Paul Palmer Not really fished Bayes for a couple of yrs, but decided to have a 48hr visit this week and reacquaint myself with the thick mud surronding the lake and boss hoggs burger van. Turning up to my old hunting ground and feeling very out of touch with the water, it wasn't a complete surprise to have nothing the first day. It also kind of irritated me, so spent considerable time with my marker the following day trying to find some old favoured spots amongst the weed. Traps set on the second attempt, I hit the sack sack feeling slightly more optimistic that something might happen. The night passed, but next morning the rod ripped off and I managed to land a lovely 34.8lb scaley.
