Craig Bodycombe So I had been fishing for 2 weeks in france. The 1st venue was bay lakes see me catch 8 carp with the biggest being 63lb and the smallest 39lb including 3 other 50 pounders. But on to the 2 week we moved to lac lesmont. I struggled to get amongst the fish so persevered with my heavily baited deep water spot. I used crumb cell and essential cell with a good few bottles of the matching smart liquids. And as the last evening drew in I thought the dreaded blank was on the cards. However at around 5:30 am the deep water rod erupted into life waking me up. The 1st 5 minutes I didn't think I had a monster on the end just a good carp holding in the 30ft depths. I was struggling to catch a glimpse of the fish as it was super foggy. But then out of the depths came the biggest shape I've seen emerging from the deep 17ft margin. After around another 10 minutes of playing it very gingerly as I now knew what I was attached to i had the beautiful site of the carp slipping over the cord was just what I needed after a tough week. And to make it sweeter was a fish me my friend and owner had been talking about all week. BRUNO at an incredible weight of 71lb 10oz and a PB ill struggle to beat.
