Les Bowers Hi mate , I had a couple of days off work to recharge my batteries as I've been flat out working and doing my charity stuff. At 3am I was woken by a 21LB common. I had to pack up in the afternoon to spend this weekend with my family. Everything was packed onto the barrrow with just the rods to go when the left hand rod bent right round. Grabbing the rod, and walking back to bring it away from any danger, it fought hard once in deeper water and made a last gasp run for the pads. I managed to get its head up and guided it by the edge of them and into the waiting net. On the scales she went 48LB 02 oz's and I was over the moon as it's one I've never had before known as Split Scale. 4 kilos of Mainline's test bait was scattered by catapult over the area, a couple of Spombs of hemp and a spinner rig was a snowman Hookbait.
