Managed to catch this stunner on a blazing hot day less then a rod length out after a walk around the lake I found a few fish feeding in the margin so decided to drop a solid bag in amongst them resulting in a few fish the ropes off with this 44lb called “scattered lin” witch is my first English 40 and smashed my pb as well
