HOOKBAIT

My personal favourite hookbait has to be the match the hatch Cell Balanced Wafters. I use them in all three sizes and have had great success when fished on my trusty Combi Multi Rig. Over the last decade I feel Hi-Visual, high attract Pop-Ups have been the go too of many, and simply by fishing with something less striking and closer to the lakebed this itself can be an edge. However, that said I do sometimes like to give my hookbaits a little flavour boost and I do this by adding 4ml of my favourite flavour/sweetener combo per tub of wafters.

2ml Milky Toffee
1ml Pear and Banana
1ml Sweet Ade.

BOILIE

Definitely a difficult question as I've caught well on many of the baits in the Mainline range. Obviously, Cell is tried and tested and when the pressure is on is certainly my go to. Home and abroad it works absolutely everywhere, from the pressured UK day to tickets and syndicates, to the windswept inland seas of France.

These days I'm just as happy using shelf life as frozen, and for convenience I like to carry both. This way I always have a few extra kilos in the van should I have an unexpected red-letter session or simply want to bait an area after a capture or sighting.

LIQUID

My favourite liquid has to be the Cell Smart Liquid and is one of only few things I would ever dream of adding to my loose feed. For me fish spend long periods of time off the bottom, and I genuinely believe it can be really beneficial to have something working/sending attraction through the entire water column. Not only do the oils and fats in this liquid rise through the layers alerting the fish to the presence of food below, but at the same time it impregnates the lakebed long after all the bait has been eaten, ensuring the spot/area is pulling in fish.
