About James Mann
I have been fishing since I was 10 or 11 years old - float fishing and entering matches for the MET police juniors in the six weeks holiday on Wansted Ornamental Lake catching Crucian carp and losing bigger carp in the pads getting snapped-up on light gear. Then I started carping - targeting bigger carp rolling my own baits from Mainline Baits Liver & Marine Base Mix with some added little extras.
Now I run a busy locksmith and glazing company and I'm also a amateur boxing coach three evenings per week. Juggling fishing, boxing work and most important family time, I still try and get out one to two nights a week usually - so I don't get much spare time.
I've fished waters such as Aveley Lakes, Fryering Fisheries, Chad Lakes Home Pool, Essex Manor, Big Grange and Bayeswater catching two English fifty-pound-plus carp and one at 49lb 15oz as well as numerous forties and thirties from different waters over the years.
