Rob Kitcher When i got to the lake,there was only a couple of anglers on and my favoured swim was free. The conditions were perfect with the air pressure dropping into night fall. All rods were on the spots within the hour and before I could even get the kettle on,the left hand rod was away. After a short battle,the hook pulled and the fish was gone and so i set about getting the rod back onto the spot. The second hour came and the right hand alarm screamed into life,with a short battle and a couple of heart stopping moments,the fish was over the net cord. On the scales this stunning common went 24.02,happy was an under statement. The next few hours passed and so I hit the sack for the night,to be woken at midnight with another common of 16.04. To be able to get in a quick overnighter between work,have two fish and loose one,i was made up when I left in the morning.
