James Butcher I had Friday booked off work so i turn up after work on Thursday for 3 nights to find a good few vans in the carpark so after a lap of the lake I settled in a swim called the plato which I have never fished before as I am new to the water this year after a lead around I was happy with my spots and put around a kg of cell over each rod ,that night I heard a lot of fish and thought they might have started spawning but in the morning it was fine and I was on a few fish but I think they were on a hatch the second night was a lot quieter but at 3.30am one of my rods was away only for it to find a snag out in open water so I put the rod in the rest and went back to sleep to be woken up by another take which tried to get in the same snag but I managed to turn in and bundle it in to the net a really old one called Paw Print a little down in weight but I wasn't complaining the rest of the session went by without any more action the fish in the snag a bailiff went out in a boat to free it but it had already dumped the hook in a branch and was well gone which was nice to know, you can't win them all.
