IT'S MASSIVE

1st March 2012 sees the launch of the new and exciting Mainline-Fox Carp Angler of the Year competition. With over £23,000 worth of prizes up for grabs, including the most prestigious title in UK carp angling, it’s another great reason to keep sending those catch reports into your favourite carping weekly!

Every week Mainline Bait and Fox International will be giving away more than £300 worth of bait and tackle to the top three catches reported on their products, and at the end of the year one lucky angler will receive a cool £1000 in cash plus £2000 worth of tackle and £1000 of bait!

To be that man, or lady, all you need to do is report your catches on Mainline and Fox products, and the guys at Fox and Mainline will rank your catches (only those featuring in the news pages) based on which they believe to be the most meritorious.

Points will be allocated to each catch, with sponsored anglers receiving a handicap to make it as fair as possible (see 'Allocation of points' below).

Get catching and get reporting! The first entries and winners in the Mainline Fox Carp Angler of the Year 2012/13 competition will appear in issue 908, week ending 10th March 2012.

Allocation of points

The top five catches entered into the competition will be announced each week on a separate news page. Anglers sponsored by Mainline or Fox will incur a handicap. The top five catches will receive the following points: 1st place 10pts (8pts for a sponsored angler), 2nd place 8pts (6pts for a sponsored angler), 3rd place 7pts (5pts for a sponsored angler), 4th place 6pts (4pts for a sponsored angler), and 5th place 5pts (3pts for a sponsored angler). All other published catches will have the logo on and receive 3pts (1pts for a sponsored angler). An up-to-date tally of the points will be announced each month in Carp-Talk.

Terms and conditions

To be entered into this competition, your catch must be reported on a Fox and a Mainline product – not just one of them! Weekly Fox prizes to be claimed by emailing lporter@foxint.com, weekly Mainline prize to be claimed by emailing: kev@mainline-baits.com. The decision of points allocation is made by Fox and Mainline and their decision is final.
