Top Mainline Consultants, Scott Day and Shaun McSpadden have recently experienced the session of life time at Rainbow Lake in France whilst field-testing the our new MK1 boilie.
In fact during their two week stay in Peg 5 the boys finished with a total of 50 carp including 14 x 40s, 13 x 50s, 2 x 60s, 1 x 70 and 2 x 80s!
In what can only be described as a mind-blowing haul both Scott and Shaun banked an 80-pounder each, with Scott landing the Ken Dodd mirror at 82lb and Shaun landing a colossal common known as Eric’s Common at a staggering 86lb! In addition Scott also banked a monster common of 78lb, which has previously broken the 80lb barrier itself.
All of the biggies fell to snowman hookbaits created from 18mm MK1 bottom baits topped with 15mm MK1 pop-ups. Rigs were constructed from either size 4 Arma Point XSC or Kuro S4 hooks whilst hooklinks were 45lb Armadillo braid for snags and 35lb Coretex for open water. This is just one of many impressive catches on the MK1 during the testing process and the MK1 is looking like yet another classic boilie in the making!
