For how long can you keep using one bait on a water? I have been on the Activ-8 for a number of years now and am wondering how long it will be before it blows and I have to use something new.

Question 2

I intend fishing an estate lake in Kent, of about 10 acres It has only been lightly fished during the past five years. Could the team recommend a baiting approach – as the carp have not seen a boilie, or any other type of bait, for five years, so have been feasting on the abundant naturals.

I am hoping to fish a few five-day sessions throughout the year, so would also appreciate it if the team could suggest a list of items which they would consider essential to take with them to a venue of this kind, for five-day sessions.

Question 3
Rob Marsh

Whenever I read the various carp magazines there are always loads of complicated rigs, such as the Withy Pool and Swimmer Rigs in them. I seem to struggle to utilise these as they were designed. Are they over-complicated and just designed to catch the angler? In what situations would you use these rigs, and why? Would you use them with PVA bags, bottom baits, etc.?
