 Abbey Lakes has established itself over the last few years as being in the elite of commercial carp fisheries in France, and now we have fish over 60lb now in two of the lakes on site, its reputation as a big fish venue is firmly on the map.
With Mainline now sponsoring the venue the future can only get better, and we will bring you the latest catch reports through ‘What’s Occurring’ each month.
There are four main carp lakes on site, Fox, Heron, Frogs and Attila. Fox and Heron are the two main big fish waters at 25 and 35 acres respectively, and each of them contains over 1000 carp, with several fish over 50lb in each lake. There are loads of forties too, with countless thirties and twenties to back them up.
Frogs Lake can be exclusively booked for parties of up to six anglers with an all inclusive food package, and with a recent stocking of 50 thirties to back up the existing stock of fish to over 50lb this lake is producing some fantastic captures. Finally we have Attila, which is the new addition to the carp fishing on the complex, and is our new runs water. Stacked full of doubles and with loads of bonus 20lb+ fish this is an incredible action venue. It can be non-stop on here so don’t expect much sleep!
The facilities at Abbey Lakes are stunning, with a large clubhouse on site with a bar and restaurant, as well as a tackle shop, toilet, shower facilities, pay phone, charging points… in fact everything you could need during your holiday. And all this only two hours from Calais!
