I had never even considered going fishing up until 2002 when my partner decided I had no choice but to go on a weekend session with him. Something he probably regrets now because I'm always dragging him to different lakes in all the spare time I have and constantly talking carp.
As a reward for being a teacher I have around 12 weeks off work a year and spend the majority of those weeks on a quest to get more fish on the bank!
I love fishing lakes that require both time and patience in order to land a desired fish. I don't always go out looking to beat my PB the joy of the alarms screaming and playing a fish to the net is what thrills me the most.
